QBWA Chairwoman affirms offering integrated system to meet needs of Qatari women, entrepreneurs

HE Chairwoman of Qatari Businesswomen Association (QBWA), Sheikha Al Anood bint Khalifa bin Hamad Al-Thani, affirmed that the association plays a leading role in supporting efforts to build the national economy through offering an integrated system that meets the current and future needs of women and female entrepreneurs.In her remarks to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of QBWA, Her Excellency highlighted that QBWA has put forward numerous initiatives and professional training programs in a range of critical fields to advance the capabilities of its members in the field of entrepreneurship and received the essential tools for success.Her Excellency added that QBWA provided the guidance program, which brings together nascent women entrepreneurs and experienced female leaders in the business sector, stating that it has laser-focused on creating jobs to share knowledge and build domestic and international strategic partnerships that would broaden new horizons for women-led companies.Throughout the past 25 years, the QBWA's role has shifted from an ambitious initiative to an influential and effective force in the dynamic economic system in Qatar driven by a commitment to empowering female entrepreneurs, leaderships, and competencies in Qatar, Her Excellency underlined.She underscored that the QBWA's path during those years reflected the transformations that Qatar went through toward a diverse and vital economy that gives foremost priority to women's engagement in all sectors, highlighting the QBWA's advancement to keep up with the requirements of contemporary businesswomen for work and growth in an increasingly digital and globalized economy.QBWA continued to adapt to this advancement through focusing on emerging fields such as digital transformation and sustainability by expanding its network globally, Her Excellency highlighted, adding that QBWA expanded the scope of its initiatives to encompass young entrepreneurs with the aim of spurring the next generation to take on the mantle of further leading roles and maintaining its trailblazing role and positive impact on the Qatari economic landscape.Her Excellency highlighted that QBWA has launched initiatives that resemble the "100 Qatari Inspiring Women" initiative and forged strategic partnerships with major global institutions.She indicated that such partnerships transcend the trade relations to the real bridges that highlight the Qatari womens stature as influential leaders and effective contributors to the global economy.HE the Chairwoman of QBWA called on the next generation of Qatari female entrepreneurs to capitalize on the opportunities offered by the State of Qatar in a range of fields, especially that the country focuses on sectors such as innovation, sustainability and economic diversity.The opportunities for women to achieve their ambitions in the business world have never been better than today, prompting optimism about the engagement of Qatari young women in new and promising sectors, such as clean technology and digital innovation, Her Excellency said.Her Excellency added that she looks forward to continuing the QBWA's leading role and deepening its positive impact to ensure its programs and initiatives reach out to wider spectrums of Qatari women and offer further opportunities for them to be able to effectively lead their communities and sectors.She pointed out that QBWA is set to launch a series of activities and initiatives to mark the 25th anniversary of its establishment that will focus on empowering women in the areas of technology, sustainability and leadership, in addition to organizing global trips to highlight the milestones of the Qatari women on the global stage.
