Israeli Police detain 11 Palestinians in 1948 territories

Israeli police detained 11 Palestinians during a raid of Deir al-Asad town in the Galilee region in the 1948 territories.The latest arrests followed a day of clashes with the Israeli police against the backdrop of the latters attack on a wedding ceremony held Saturday in the town.The raid on Saturday saw police officers physically assaulting participants and firing in the air, and a young man, said to be in the thirties, was seriously injured as a result.Following the Israeli police raid of the wedding ceremony, clashes erupted between the local Palestinian citizens and the police.Meanwhile, the occupation forces arrested a young man from At-Tur town, east of occupied Jerusalem, after raiding and searching his house, while two young men from Al-Yamoun town in Jenin governorate were arrested, after raiding their homes.
