Qatar Charity organises training forum on preparedness and strengthening resilience

Qatar Charity (QC) has held a virtual training forum on preparedness and strengthening the resilience of its field offices and representatives to enhance the capabilities of their employees and follow the latest systems for disaster intervention.
The forum aimed to enlighten field office staff on the latest systems, follow the best methods and enhance the performance of Qatar Charity’s human cadres working in the field of disaster and crisis management to contribute to preventing them, and reducing the loss of life and damage to property in the communities where QC works, according to a press statement.
The programme targeted office directors, project managers, programme officers and co-ordinators.
The programme targeted office directors, project managers, programme officers and co-ordinators at Qatar Charity’s field offices and representatives in 35 countries across different continents.Ahmed Saad al-Rumaihi, director of Emergency and Relief at QC’s International Operations and Programmes Sector, welcomed the participants of the forum, stating that it aims to explain the work of the Preparedness and Resilience section of Qatar Charity.Al-Rumaihi said QC's emergency and relief management strategy is based on an effective response to disaster-prone communities, and the implementation of the strategy depends on the co-operation of field offices and their staff.He emphasised that Qatar Charity attaches great importance to continuous training to create technical and administrative cadres in accordance with international standards, and permanently develop its staff in line with QC's strategy and international standards for the relief and humanitarian field.
