Amir appoints Masoud al-Ameri as Justice Minister in Cabinet reshuffle; Issa al-Jafali al-Nuaimi is new A-G

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani issued Thursday Amiri Order No. 2 of 2021, reshuffling the Cabinet. The order stipulates that HE Masoud bin Mohamed al-Ameri shall be appointed as the Minister of Justice. The order also stipulates that HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie shall be entrusted with carrying out the duties of Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, in addition, to the duties of his post. The Amiri order annulled all provisions contravening its rules. The Amiri order shall be effective starting from its date of issue and shall be published in the official gazette.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani issued yesterday Amiri Order No. 3 of 2021, appointing HE Dr Issa bin Saad al-Jafali al-Nuaimi as Attorney-General (A-G). The Amiri order annulled all provisions contravening its rules. The Amiri order shall be effective starting from its date of issue and shall be published in the official gazette. Later in the day, before His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HE Masoud bin Mohammed al-Ameri took the oath as Minister of Justice at the Amiri Diwan. The oath-taking ceremony was attended by His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani. HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani also attended the ceremony. Before His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HE Dr Issa bin Saad al Jafali al-Nuaimi also took the oath as Attorney-General at the Amiri Diwan. The oath taking ceremony was attended by His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani.
