BPS conducts dance workshop

A dance workshop was conducted recently by the music and dance department of Birla Public School (BPS) based on the topic ‘Bharatanatyam’.

The workshop commenced with a welcome speech by Marshal D’Silva, head of the music and dance department.Principal A P Sharma expressed his views on the importance of dance in day to day life. He also congratulated the department for conducting the workshop.Vice principal (co-scholastic) Rajesh Pillai explained that different special activities taking place in the school and encouraged the students to participate, learn and enjoy the sessions.The dance workshop was presented by dance teachers – Sreelakshmy Sujit and Kunjal C Patel. The workshop was focused on information related to Bharatanatyam and its techniques. A question and answer session at the end helped students get more clarity on the topics and how to implement them in real life situations.
