Campaigners dressed as ‘Suffragettes’ attend a rally organised by UK Feminista to call for equal rights for men and women outside the Houses of Parliament, in London yesterday. Women from around the UK gathered in Westminster to participate in a rally and lobby their local members of parliament to demonstrate against any legislation that damages women’s rights. ‘Suffragettes’ originally were members of a women’s movement fighting for the right to vote in the late 19th and early 20th century.
