Qatar Tuesday reports 640 cases of the virus, three deaths and 1,422 recoveries

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Tuesday reported 640 new confirmed cases of Covid-19. 367 of these were from community cases and 273 from travelers returning from abroad.The Ministry also announced the deaths of three patients aged 50, 72, and 78 years respectively. The two of the deceased were chronically ill and all were receiving the necessary medical care.The MoPH also recorded 1,422 recoveries from the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases recovered in Qatar to 195,521.The MoPH issued a statement on Covid-19 developments in Qatar, which said the following:National Covid-19 Vaccination Program Data:- 1,670,911 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the start of the program.- 35,513 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the past 24 hours.- 46.1 percent of the eligible population has now received at least one dose of the vaccine.- 86.6 percent of over 60s (the most vulnerable population group) have been vaccinated with at least one dose, while 77.3 percent have received both doses.Current Covid-19 Status:- Every day, hundreds of people are becoming sick due to the Covid-19 with many requiring admission to hospital to manage their symptoms.- Since 1 February, the number of people with Covid-19 admitted to hospital has doubled.- Qatartarget="_blank"'>
