Marie Moncaster and her husband Paul Moncaster clean out their garage in Lanchester, county Durham, yesterday after heavy rainfall caused flooding in the area. Parts of the Midlands area of the country received almost 22 millimetres of rain in an hour, which is third of what it usually gets in the entire month of June.
