International experts learn about FIFA security procedures

The Legal Affairs and Communication Unit of the Safety and Security Operations Committee (SSOC) for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has held a meeting with experts from the US, France and Germany. The experts are visiting Qatar to learn about the procedures for securing the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup 2020. The meeting comes as part of the preparations made for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and activating international co-operation and communication in line with the best practices to be applied by the committee, the SSOC said in post on Twitter. Lt-Colonel Khaled Ali al-Kaabi, deputy head of the Legal Affairs and Communication Unit of the SSOC, and Captain Ali al-Neama, representative of the Planning and Monitoring Unit of the SSOC, attended the meeting. During the meeting, the officials presented the security readiness for the FIFA Club World Cup 2020, the planning mechanisms for the tournament and ways to secure it. The committee had recently launched the Qatar Sports Security Information Point, the first centre of its kind in the region.
