Security checkpoint attack in Afghanistan Kills 16

An attack carried out by Taliban militants on a security checkpoint Kunduz killed 16 Afghan security personnel.
Member of the regional council in Kunduz Rabani Rabani said that two other security personnel were injured in the attack. He added that two militants were arrested by the security forces during the attack.Afghanistan has been seeing an escalation of violence in recent months, particularly in Kabul which saw attacks that targeted police officers, media personalities, politicians, and rights activists.
