Al Rabban Racing’s homebred Harb registered his third victory by clinching the Ras Al Noof Cup at the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club’s Al Uqda Racecourse in Al Khor yesterday.Trainer Rashid al-Jehani and jockey Tomas Lukasek teamed up for the four-year-old bay gelding’s half a length victory in the day’s feature race for the 1300m Local Thoroughbred Open for the three-year-old+. Abdulatif Hussain MZ al-Emadi’s Bab Al Rayyan and Ahmed Hassan al-Malki al-Jehani’s Mater finished second and third respectively.Abdulla Rashid al-Kubaisi, QREC Racing Manager, presented the trophies to the winners.Earlier, HE Sheikha Reem bint Mohamed bin Khalifa al-Thani-owned Fedwah won the Purebred Arabian Handicap (85-105) for there-year-old+ 2000m race of the 3rd Al Uqda meeting of the season at the racecourse.Rashid Mohamed RA Al-athba-owned and Bader al-Balushi-trained Nayer Bu Thaila won, the 1200m Local Thoroughbred Handicap (30-50), for three-year-old+ under jockey Alberto Sanna, who completed a treble with the win.Earlier, Sanna guided Rudy Nerbonne trained Al Shahania Stud’s Basheer Al Shahania to Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate for three-six-year-olds 2000m race.
