Amir, UAE president discuss bilateral ties, developments in Palestinian territories

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and his brother President of the sisterly United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, discussed the fraternal bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and consolidate them in various fields, especially with regard to strengthening ties of cooperation for the good and interests of the two brotherly peoples, in addition to strengthening joint GCC action.During the discussions held at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi yesterday, His Highness the Amir and the UAE president also reviewed developments in regional and international events and exchanged views on a number of current issues of joint interest, especially developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, and ways to enhance relief work, humanitarian and civilian protection, and reducing escalation in order to achieve stability and security in the region.The discussions were attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani, HE Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, and Head of the State Security HE Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Khulaifi, and a number of members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir.From the Emirati side, it was attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Court, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed al Nahyan, who is the Chairman of the Board of Directors Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, and a number of ministers and senior officials.His Highness the Amir also attended a dinner banquet hosted in his honour by his brother the president of UAE.Earlier upon arrival in Abu Dhabi on a fraternal visit to the sisterly United Arab Emirates, His Highness the Amir and the accompanying delegation were welcomed at the Presidential Flight by his brother President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan.His Highness the Amir and the accompanying delegation were also welcomed by Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed al- Nahyan, and Ambassador of Qatar to the UAE Dr. Sultan Salmeen Saeed al-Mansouri.
