Al Jazeera Media Network is organising its 15th annual forum in Doha on May 25 and 26, under the title, " Transformations in the Middle East after Tufan Al-Aqsa", with the participation of a select group of politicians, experts, journalists and decision-makers.The forum will discuss the political and strategic repercussions of Tufan Al-Aqsa and the subsequent Israeli war on Gaza on the Palestinian issue. It will also discuss its impact on Israel, particularly on the image of the army, the cohesion of society and the future of the Zionist project, a statement said yesterday. The forum will shed light on the regional and international positions and the apparent bias of some Western powers towards Israel in its war on Gaza, as well as the impact of that on the international system’s values and institutions in terms of their effectiveness and ability to achieve the objectives for which they were established. The forum will also touch on the patterns of media coverage by major media outlets of the war on Gaza and analyse the noticeable shift in global public opinion towards supporting the Palestinian cause and opposing Israel, and the possibility that this trend will evolve from temporary field protests into permanent mechanisms that exert pressure on institutions, influence policies and contribute to decision-making.Additionally, the forum will forecast the courses of ongoing transformations in the Middle East in light of Tufan al-Aqsa and its political and strategic repercussions.Al Jazeera Forum is an extensive annual gathering, hosted by the Al Jazeera Media Network, where political leaders, researchers, experts and journalists from various political orientations and intellectual backgrounds come together to engage in dialogue and exchange views on current developments in the Arab world and its surroundings, the statement added.
