Qatar University (QU) Health and Medical Sciences organised an induction day event to greet the academic staff in clinical education who have joined various colleges within QU Health.The event brought together approximately 70 academics dedicated to clinical education within QU Health. Dr Asma al-Thani, vice president, Medical and Health Sciences at QU welcomed the attendees.She emphasised the event represented the partnership between QU Health and Medical Sciences and key healthcare institutions in Qatar, including Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), the Primary Health Care Corporation, Sidra Medicine, Aspetar, and others.Dr Abdullatif al-Khal, director of the Medical Education Department, HMC, stated: "We highly appreciate the significant efforts, investment, and continuous support for the future generation. We are impressed by the educational quality received by graduates from this sector, and we look forward to attracting more graduates from the sector."I would like to take this opportunity to emphasise that HMC is dedicated to supporting the clinical training of students in our facilities. We will ensure that students' clinical training experience is as smooth as possible to meet their specific requirements. We will work closely with our leadership and faculty to create the appropriate educational environment efficiently, helping students and the university achieve the necessary competencies using the highest possible standards.”From the perspective of research collaboration between HMC and QU, Dr Abdullah Ali al-Ansari, head of Medical Services, HMC, emphasised the importance of enhancing communication between the two institutions and increasing opportunities for cooperation in research and innovations. It also aims to establish a strong professional network connecting all stakeholders in the medical academic field to raise the level of services provided to patients using the latest research and technological approaches.Dr al-Ansari highlighted the opportunities arising from this collaboration, as faculty members have the opportunity to explore different specialties in the field of health and medicine, understand the role of each specialisation, and understand the methods of work in this diverse academic context.
