Qatar Charity (QC) has launched a summer programme for boys, ‘Ashbal Al Rayyan’, which means the ‘Cubs of Al Rayyan’ to instill and promote values, build personality, and develop skills.Being implemented by QC's Community Development Centre of Al Rayyan every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday until August 31. The programme includes competitions, physical and mental games, challenges, educational visits, and training workshops.Abdulrahman al-Hajri, director of the Local Programmes and Community department at QC, stated that the aim is to prepare a generation that strives to develop the country. Ahmed al-Malki, a trainer, said the initiative places greater emphasis on practical training. Abdullah Mahmoud al-Ibrahim, a participant, said: "Through this programme, I have understood the importance of taking responsibility, collaborating, and setting goals in life. I also learn and develop various skills."Rashid Hamad al-Marri, another participant, said: "I learned from the programme to be a responsible and cooperative person, take care of my health, and develop my skills.”
