The Seashore Sustainability Academy, in partnership with Al-Mutazah Club, has recently concluded the three-day Seashore Impact Camp, an interactive programme designed to empower girls with essential life skills while promoting sustainability, responsible living and personal wellbeing. The camp forms part of the academy’s ongoing efforts to prepare a generation capable of making informed decisions, embracing positive values and contributing to a more sustainable future. The programme opened with the “Relationships and Social Energy” workshop, which focused on building healthy relationships, understanding personal boundaries, strengthening self-confidence and navigating the influence of social media. The second day featured the “Rationalisation and Smart Consumption” workshop, led by a trainer, Buthaina al-Marai, introducing participants to the principles of mindful spending, distinguishing between needs and wants, and adopting sustainable consumption habits. The camp concluded with the “Time and Digital Life” workshop, also facilitated by al-Marai, which encouraged participants to develop healthy digital habits, improve time management and achieve a better balance between the digital and real worlds. Noura Radwa, director of the Seashore Sustainability Academy, said the camp reflects the academy’s vision of investing in people as the foundation of sustainable development. “We believe that making an impact begins with building people, and that empowering girls with life skills and positive values is the path towards a more conscious and sustainable society. This camp was designed to be a comprehensive educational experience, combining knowledge and application, leaving a lasting impact on the participants’ lives and future.” Representing Al-Mutazah Club, Shawq Abdulrahman highlighted the importance of national partnerships in supporting youth development: “We are proud of our partnership with Seashore Academy for Sustainability in organising the Seashore Impact Camp, which embodies our shared vision of empowering girls with the knowledge and skills that help them build balanced personalities capable of making informed decisions.”Salem bin Saeed al-Mohannadi, CEO of Seashore Group, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to invest in human capital through impactful educational initiatives. “At Seashore, we believe that sustainable development begins with building human capacity before any project or initiative. We will continue investing in educational and awareness programmes that prepare a conscious generation equipped with the values and skills needed to build a better future,” the CEO said. The camp concluded with a recognition ceremony honouring participants and trainers, marking the success of the partnership in delivering an engaging educational experience. Established under the Seashore Group’s CSR programme, the Seashore Sustainability Academy has become a leading social platform for environmental education in Qatar. Working in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, the academy delivers camps, school programmes and national initiatives that help cultivate environmental awareness, practical sustainability skills and a culture of responsible citizenship among young people.
