Renowned literary and cultural organisation, Majlis e Frogh e Urdu Adab, launched the late Dr Fartash Syed’s book—'Kulliyat-Baat Rahti Hai', a collection of his three books of poetry – Haashia, Barmala and Har Warq Par Usi Ka Naam.Majlis chairman Mohamed Atiq presided. Prominent Urdu poetry aesthete Hassan Chougule was the chief guest. Majlis president Qamaruzzaman Bhatti represented the organisation on the dais. Secretary general Obaid Tahir, compered the event.The event started with a recitation from the Holy Qur'an by Hafiz Daniyal Akram.Shaeqeen e Fun president Nawaz Akram welcomed the gathering. Majlis' patrons Ahmed Hussain, Riyas Ahmed Bakali and Hamid Rasul, Aziz Nabeel and Asif Shafi who played a major role in publishing the collection and other dignitaries were present during the launch.Majlis members Raza Hussain Raza and Sanwal Abbasi and Anjuman Mohibban e Urdu Hind’s general secretary and noted poet Aziz Nabeel spoke about Dr Syed’s personality, poetry and life and read out articles on him.Subsequently, the poetic session saw Dr Syed's verses being recited.The young poetess Aesha Shafaq, who came from Pakistan, and Doha-based poets Atiq Anzar, Aziz Nabeel, Ahmed Ashfaqm Ijaz Haider, Asif Shafi, Zawwar Hussain, Qaiser Masood, Syed Shakeel Ahmed, Ashfaq Deshmukh, Raza Hussain and Sanwal Abbasi participated.In his presidential address, Atiq talked about Dr Syed''s love and services for the Majlis. He said that since 2011, Dr Syed was shouldering a major part of Majlis’ responsibilities until he passed away due to Covid-19. Atiq also paid tributes to the Majlis founder, Malik Museeb ur Rehman.Qamaruzzaman Bhatti thanked the guests and especially those who played a key role in the editing and publishing of thebook, which include Aziz Nabeel, Asif Shafi, Aatir Usmani, Sahrash Fartash, Mushfiq Raza Naqvi and members of the Majlis.Ahmed Hussain, Ibrahim Khan Kamal, Hamid Rasul, Riyaz Ahmed Bakali, Mehmood Ahmed, Farzana Safdar ,Shahid Khan, Anwer Ali Raana, Khalid Latif, Haroon Rashid, Shahida Atiq, Liaqat Malik, Ashraf Siddiqui, Abdul Basit Qureshi, Saeed Ahmed, Mohammad Tariq, Javed Humayun, Zahid Sharif, Javed Bhatti and Abdul Razzaq were among those present.
