As part of the celebrations of the 50th year of diplomatic relations between Qatar and India, the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), under the aegis of the Indian embassy, is planning to conduct a mega-cultural event - Bharat Utsav 2023 - on May 19.The event will be held from 5.30pm at Al Mayassa Theatre, Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).Bharat Utsav 2023 is expected to be a unique event that will showcase and promote the rich and diversified Indian culture, ICC has said in a statement. During this festival, various affiliated organisations of ICC, institutes and students will enthral the audience through a variety of cultural programmes that will mainly include classical and traditional folk performances.The event is expected to be attended by a record number of attendees, including some prominent Qatari personalities, diplomats of various nationalities, entrepreneurs and community leaders, the statement pointed out.With the support of Indian embassy officials, the ICC managing committee is taking all necessary measures to engage with various stakeholders, organisations, associations and several volunteers to make this event a resounding success.ICC president A P Manikantan has extended a warm invitation to the large Indian community residing in Qatar to attend Bharat Utsav 2023 to enjoy the quality performances and more importantly to reconnect with the country's cultural roots and to extend the legacy to the next generation.
