Minister of State for International Co-operation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid AlKhater met with the visiting European Union Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas Nicholson. The meeting dealt with reviewing co-operation between Qatar and the European Union in Afghanistan, and the results of the talks recently hosted by Qatar on the future of education and public health in Afghanistan. The meeting touched on the outcomes of the conference of women in Islam, which was held in New York, in addition to Saudi Arabia's hosting of the conference of women in Islam, according to what was agreed at the meeting of foreign ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation.
