The Police Academy has obtained approval from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to establish a Master's program in security leadership, following the completion of licensing standards and requirements for the program. The program is scheduled to commence in the 2024/2025 academic year in collaboration with academic and security institutions inside and outside the country.The Ministry of Interior said today that this initiative reflects its commitment to human resource development, aligning with the ministry's strategy to contribute to security stability and excellence in serving society, and to continue the development and modernization efforts undertaken by the academy.In this regard, President of the Police Academy Brigadier General Abdul Rahman Majid Al Sulaiti said that this program is among the leading and distinguished academic programs regionally. He added that it aims primarily to equip the Ministry of Interior and other security agencies in the country with scientifically and practically qualified cadres in the field of security leadership, capable of efficiently addressing contemporary security challenges and applying modern leadership methods in the security sector.It's worth noting that the curriculum for the Master's program consists of 30 credit hours, according to the national qualifications framework in Qatar. It includes a selected range of academic courses covering various specialized knowledge, research, and skills areas, complemented by practical activities and real-world training exercises. Additionally, educational visits within and outside the country are conducted to enrich the knowledge and experiences of the students.The program targets a specialized category of officers who meet the required criteria. Graduates of the program, upon successful completion of the requirements, will be awarded a Master's degree in security leadership accredited by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
