Israeli authorities re-demolish Al Araqib village to displace residents

Under the protection of police forces, the Israeli authorities re-demolished on Sunday the homes of Al Araqib village's residents in Negev, inside the territories that were occupied in 1948, for the 211th time since their first demolition, which took place on July 27, 2010.This is the 15th time in a row for the Israeli authorities to demolish Al Araqib village, since the beginning of this year, after having demolished it 14 times last year.The villagers use wood and plastic sheets to re-establish their homes to resist Israelis' plans to uproot and displace the Palestinian people from their land.The Israeli authorities have been demolishing Al Araqib village since 2010 in an attempt to displace its residents.With a total of 86 residents, 22 families reside in Al Araqib village and live by raising livestock and farming.In the 70s of the last century, the residents were able to prove their right to own an area of 1,250 dunums, in accordance with the laws and conditions of the Israeli authorities.In addition to Al Araqib, Palestinian villages in the Negev area are subjected to uprooting and displacement plans on a daily basis.
