Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO) Dr Salim AlMalik stressed that the organisation continues its innovative and modernising approach, to be an entity with an integrated practical orientation, noting that it has obtained many distinguished international awards and certificates during the year 2022.At the opening of the 43th session of its Executive Council held at ICESCO headquarters in Rabat, Dr. AlMalik said that the organisation promotes the principles of tolerance and looks forward to the future, adding that it deals with arts and literature, and celebrates the talents and skills of young people, in addition to being an open organisation that adheres to the conditions of governance and transparency.Addressing the opening session, Dr AlMalik reviewed the most important achievements made by ICESCO, through holding many conferences, seminars and workshops; launching initiatives and programs that prioritise women and youth, pointing out that, in view of its creative contribution to civilisation, ISESCO hosts the Museum of the Prophet's Biography and Islamic Civilization.Egyptian Minister of Education and Chairman of ICESCO General Conference Dr Mohamed Ayman Ashour addressed the opening session praising the constructive co-operation with the organisation in the fields of education, science and culture, within the framework of ISESCO's moving forward in engaging and coordinating with member states and national committees, in order to define new directions for its strategies and programs related to its fields of work.Chairman of the Executive Board of ICESCO/ Secretary General of the Palestinian National Commission for Education, Culture and Science Dr Dawas Tayseer Dawas asserted that organisation seeks to achieve the highest levels of efficiency, through various activities and programs aimed at establishing distinguished educational, cultural and scientific practices, in order to face challenges and keep pace with the emerging needs of member states.
