QOC First Vice-President lauds organisation of the World Cup

HE Qatar Olympic Committee First Vice-President Mohamed Yousef Al Mana praised the impressive organisation of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which ended with Argentina winning the title after their victory over France.In a statement to QNA, HE Al Mana said that the accomplishment made on the soil of Qatar calls for pride to all the Arab world, stressing that the outstanding organisation of the tournament have silenced those who were sceptical about the ability of an Arab nation to host this global sporting event.Al Mana added that hosting the World Cup provided an opportunity for bringing together fans from all over the world, bridging the gaps between the Arab region and the rest of the nations and telling the world about the culture, traditions and heritage of Qatar and the region.Al Mana pointed out that Qatar presented the first close-distance edition in the modern history of the World Cup, explaining the farthest distance between two of the eight World Cup stadiums was 75 km, which allowed the fans to attend more than one match in one day.HE First Vice-President of QOC extended thanks everyone who contributed to the success of the tournament, stressing that Qatar has organized the tournament in the name of all Arabs.
