Landmark Group hands donations to Qatar Charity

Qatar Charity (QC)’s in-kind donations project “Tayf” has received donations from the Landmark Group (Max and Splash), as part of the group’s corporate social responsibility initiative.The donations will be channelled to support charity works benefiting low-income families and workers, QC said.Abdulrahman Hassan AlBreiki, head of the In-Kind Donations Department at Qatar Charity, received the donations from Clive Freeman, chief operating officer of Landmark Group Qatar.Splash donated clothes worth QR500,000 while Max made a donation of clothes worth QR75,000, the statement notes.In his statement, Freeman applauded Qatar Charity for its significant efforts in the implementation of humanitarian and charitable projects in various countries around the world.“Big corporates like Landmark have bigger responsibilities to give back to the society in the country where they operate,” said Freeman. “We are pleased to partner with Qatar Charity with various initiatives to bring in a positive change in the society.”The Group “constantly seeks opportunities to contribute to societies and communities and its commitment as a Group to corporate social responsibility is not merely about charity, but also about playing a more responsible part in society”, the chief operating officer added.Qatar Charity receives in-kind donations, including clothes, shoes, children toys, furniture and electronic appliances from individuals and institutions for its “Tayf” projects.
