University Expo opens tomorrow

Preparations underway for University Expo Qatar.
University Expo (UniExpo) 2019 opens tomorrow at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, hall 5, from 8am to 1pm, and from 5pm to 9pm. The two-day event is aimed at students aged 16 and above, their parents, school counsellors, principals and career advisers, as well as professionals looking to advance their academic credentials.The expo will host inspirational seminars and a huge number of exhibiting educational entities to support students in making informed future career decisions. UniExpo 2019 will witness the participation of more than 100 leading universities and education providers from around the world including the largest contingents of universities based in Qatar, such as; Community College Qatar, Doha Institute of Graduate Studies, College of North Atlantic – Qatar, Qatar Foundation, Education City universities such as  Northwestern University in Qatar, HEC Paris in Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University Qatar and Qatar University.Over 15 countries will also be represented, including the US, France, the UK, Malaysia, Italy, India, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Qatar, Oman, Spain, Turkey, and Cyprus. International universities showcasing at the expo include University of Aberdeen, Wright State University, Virginia Tech, Swansea University, Middlesex University, Durham University, and the Lebanese American University, among others.A wide range of inspirational and practical seminars guarantees a rounded experience for visitors providing them with everything they need to know on university education from methods to help students adjust to change, identify their passion, and make the right decision, to practical and logistical aspects such as how to fill a university application and life as an international student.In its ninth year, UniExpo remains a perfect platform for industry professionals as well, with many entities showcasing executive education opportunities and ways to nourish and grow careers.  Alan Kelly, commercial director, Informa Tharawat, said: “UniExpo is the only event in Qatar that gathers such a varied range of educational institutions under one roof.
