Minister attends Climate Action Summit

HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi has participated in the meeting of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres with representatives of the high-level countries in leadership of the Nine Coalitions of the Climate Action Summit .HE al-Muraikhi also took part in the high-level ministerial work breakfast of the member states of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).The meeting, which was held on the sideline of the 74th UN General Assembly, was invited by Tajikistan as the current chair of the CICA.Qatar became a CICA member in 2014.HE al-Muraikhi participated yesterday in the UN secretary-general’s Climate Summit Round Table for heads of state and government, executive heads, UN agencies, funds, programmes, and young climate leaders.UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres chaired the forum at the level of heads of delegation and government.
