Wife of Tunisia's late president Essebsi dies on election day

The wife of Tunisia's late president Beji Caid Essebsidied on Sunday, as Tunisians were voting to elect his successor lessthan two months after his death.Chadlia Farhat, Essebsi's widow, died at the age of 83, Tunisia'sstate news agency TAP reported without details.Her son, Hafedh, confirmed her death in a Facebook post.She died at a military hospital in Tunis to which she had beentransferred Saturday after suffering an unspecified health problem,Tunisian media reported.Tunisia's presidential elections, originally scheduled for November,were pushed forward after Essebsi, the country's first democraticallyelected president, died on July 25, five months before the end of histerm. He was 92.
