Firing injures 10 Palestinians

At least 10 Palestinians, including a cameraman and a minor, were shot and injured with rubber-coated steel bullets as Israeli occupation forces quelled the weekly and peaceful anti-settlement demonstration in the village of Kufr Qaddoum, east of Qalqilia, said a local activist.Co-ordinator of the popular resistance committee in the village of Kufr Qaddoum, Murab Shtawi, said Israeli forces violently suppressed demonstrators, who also rallied to protest against the US-led Bahrain workshop and the so-called US ‘deal of the century.’Forces reportedly stormed the village while shooting indiscriminately in every direction, and proceeded to attack journalist, and chase after demonstrators. No arrests were reported.Forces used rubber-coated steel bullets, tear gas canisters, and stun grenades against demonstrators, shooting and injuring at least ten people, including a teenager and a cameraman. The teenager, 17, was shot in the face with a rubber-coated metal bullet, causing lower jaw fractures, whereas the cameraman, who was identified as Nedal Shtayyeh, was struck by two bullets. They were all transferred to the village emergency clinic for medical treatment. Meanwhile, a number of Palestinian civilians were wounded by rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas inhalation fired by Israeli occupation forces at a peaceful demonstration in the village of ‘Azmout, east of Nablus. The occupation forces targeted the participants in the march, which was launched after prayers yesterday, with rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters.
