AAB service technicians showcase skills at contest

The Customer Service Division of Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co (AAB) recently concluded the National General Job Technician Skills Contest, which showcased the technical skills and talents of AAB’s service technicians in complex repairs.The AAB service technicians have Toyota Technician Certification from Toyota Motor Corp (TMC), attesting to their skills and qualification.“The General Job Technician Skills contests are held to enhance and develop further the capability of AAB’s certified service technicians as they provide the best quality service to our customers,” AAB said in a statement. AAB’s service technicians have “model-by-model knowledge to fix problems the first time, every time” with real-time technical information updates from TMC.They also have access to comprehensive training to stay up to date with the latest technological advances that help support and protect customers’ investment, the statement noted.Further, AAB said it has a highly trained diagnostic specialist who can reliably explain the faults and symptoms of customers’ vehicle and the Skills Contest is the breeding ground for future diagnostic specialists.This year’s competition format had two category levels that each participating technician had to complete.In addition to the on-vehicle troubleshooting where the contestants were able to demonstrate their technical skills, a quiz portion was introduced to assess their technical knowledge.”With both skills and theoretical know-how being put to the test, this year’s winners further enhance the quality of service that we are able to provide our customers,” the statement added.R K Murugan, COO – Automotive Division; along with Kamal al-Hajj, director – Customer Service Division (CSD); Muthusamy Chinnappan, senior manager — CSD; and other AAB senior managers led the event with Masayuki Fukumori, Field Operations manager at TMC’s Bahrain Representative Office, during the prize-giving ceremony.
