Al Shamal Municipality's General Control Section, in co-operation with the security authorities concerned, has conducted an intensive inspection campaign to detect abandoned vehicles and equipment within its jurisdiction. The campaign resulted in the removal of seven abandoned vehicles, two portable cabins, two trailers, a boat and another cabin, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment said in a statement. These were in addition to other abandoned items such as an old water tank and electric generators. All the abandoned items were removed after warning notices were placed on them for two consecutive days regarding their removal.
