13th Toyota Dream Car Art contest winners felicitated

Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co (AAB), the sole dealers for Toyota in Qatar, has awarded the winners of the 13th Toyota Dream Car Contest at a special ceremony.The participation numbers this year “exceeded expectations” with more than 1,500 young participants registering for the event from over 160 schools — further endorsing the “widespread popularity of the contest”, AAB said in a statement.The awards ceremony, which was held at AAB’s main Toyota showroom recently, saw the winners in all three age categories receiving individual certificates, medals and gifts.Representatives of their schools also received special congratulatory mementos. All the winning entries will travel to Japan for the global competition and one of the winners will travel to Japan on a fully-paid trip with his/her parents.In Category 1 (for children below the age of eight years), the winners are Palak Banzal, DPS-Modern Indian School — first prize; Serah Maria Rejeesh, DPS-Modern Indian School — second prize; and Aaliya Rafeek, MES Indian School — third prize.In Category 2 (for children between the ages of nine and 11 years), the winners are Krishna Mahesh Kumar, MES Indian School — first prize; Payal Ramesh Attuvalappil, Birla Public School — second prize; and Neeraj Rengith Chandran, Shantiniketan Indian School — third prize.In Category 3 (for children between the ages of 12 and 15 years), the winners are Khadijah bint Shabbir Ali, Al Arqam International Academy for Girls — first prize; Nandana Biju Kumar, Birla Public School — second prize; and Janisha Meshak Selvaraj, MES Indian School — third prize.“As Abdullah Abdulghani believes in cultivating the Qatari community, and in line with AAB’s vision to develop and promote local talent, Special Jury Awards were also presented on the occasion,” the statement noted.The winners of the Special Jury Awards are: Category 1 — Fatima Mohamed al-Kaabi from Afwaz Global School; Category 2 — Al Reem Hamad Abdelaziz al-Yafei from Al Bayan Primary School and Khalfan Fahad al-Sowaidi from Afwaz Global School; and Category 3 — Haleema Hassan Ali Abdullah Hiji al-Baker from Moza Bint Mohammed Preparatory School and Haya Hassan al-Muhannadi from Al Khor Independent Preparatory School.R K Murugan, acting CEO, said: “As one of AAB’s community-oriented initiatives, the Toyota Dream Car Contest holds a special place in their hearts as it involves children, the future ‘guardians of the world’.
