The second Qatar Visa Centre (QVC) in India was opened in Mumbai on Friday in the presence of officials from both Qatar and India, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) tweeted. Five more centres will be opened in India in the cities of Kolkata, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi. The first QVC in India was opened in New Delhi on March 27. Earlier, Qatar Visa Centres were opened in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan. The QVCs will simplify and accelerate work visa procedures for expatriates coming from these countries and enable them to complete fingerprinting and biometric data processing, medical checkup and employment contract signing in their home countries, the MoI said.
