Closure of U-turn leading to St 47 at East Industrial Road diversion

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the closure of the U-turn leading to Street 47 at the existing East Industrial Road diversion. The closure will be carried out, in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, from today for a period of six months, Ashghal has said in a statement. It will facilitate the completion of road works related to the upgrade of the existing East Industrial Road.During this period, road users will be required to use Streets 52 and 51 as an alternative to reach their destinations, as shown on the attached map. Southbound traffic on East Industrial Road will continue to use the parallel road in accordance with a previously implemented diversion. The authority will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic change, and has requested all road users to abide by the 60kmph speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
