P1CCQ organises ‘Winter Outdoor Festival’

Province 1 Co-ordination Council Qatar (P1CCQ), an umbrella of 11 Nepali organisations of Qatar, recently organised ‘Winter Outdoor Festival’ at Ambaaz Global Village Camp, Mesaieed.The event was chaired by Chudamani Karki, Head of P1CCQ. Shambhu Rai, Nepali singer, was the chief guest at the event. Speaking on the occasion, Karki said, “Council has newly operated one eastern holding company to promote collective entrepreneurship.” The event also featured a panel discussion on religion and culture. Various notable personalities of Nepali community, including Kamal Mani Guragain, TB Karki, Sunny Kumar Oli and Kumar Karki participated in the panel discussion. In the panel discussion, Guragain said that Nepal should build infrastructure to promote tourism. The event also featured various cultural performances. The artistes from Nepalese Cultural Family (NCF) kicked off their performance with a mash of folk and modern instruments, including madal, flute, drum and guitar. Anju Gautam, Nepali singer, also performed on the occasion. Artistes from Kirat Yakthung Chumlung-Qatar (KYC) performed folk dances, including Chambung and Bijuwo at the event. Artistes from Sunuwar Service Society (SSS) also performed on the occasion. Shambhu Rai performed four of his songs at the event.
