Oryx GTL celebrated Qatar National Sport Day through several sporting events held in co-operation with Al Kharaitiyat Sports Club. The event was attended by the executive management of the company and a number of employees and their families.The events were organised as part of Oryx GTL’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme and its “commitment to contributing to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among its employees and members of society”, the company said in a statement.The executive management and a number of employees had a tour around Al Kharaitiyat Club on bicycles early in the morning, accompanied by a professional team from Doha Cycling. After the warm-up, participants moved to different areas to enjoy their favourite sports.Many popular sports such as a football tournament, cricket and table-tennis were among the activities on offer.There was also a special area for children with attractions like bouncy castles in addition to some competitions such as tug-of-war, musical chairs and a balloons competition.The CSR team became part of this year’s Sports Day activities by allocating a place for children’s cycling in co-operation with Doha Cycling.Sasol also joined the event and offered fun and interactive games for children during the Sport Day.Medical and security support services were on standby to ensure the safety and security of all participants.“At Oryx GTL, we believe that health is the key for a successful community.
