The General Authority of Customs (GAC) foiled an attempt to smuggle 2kg of the illicit drug, hashish, after the hand luggage of a traveller coming from an Asian country raised the suspicion of a Customs employee at Hamad International Airport.
The contraband was found following a thorough search of the luggage, the GAC said in a post on Twitter on Wednesday.
