Competitive prices draw more visitors to Mahaseel fest

The Mahaseel festival at Katara – the Cultural Village, continued to attract more visitors with more fun and entertainment activities on its second day.The festival reflects the importance of agriculture, horticulture and gardening in the society, besides finding more outlets for local fresh produce, according to a statement.The activities for children include trampolines and different educational workshops on fruit and vegetable production and gardening.Floral decoration at the Mahaseel festival venueVisitors are also attracted by the competitive prices of fresh produce from local farms offering tomatoes, pepper, cucumber, eggplant and many more new items.Local fresh honey is also available between QR300 – QR350 in addition to lamb and fresh milk.The festival which runs until January 5, is hosted in co-operation with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) and local food production companies.After January 5, Mahaseel will continue every Thursday to Saturday until March 31, 2019 at Kataratarget="_blank"'>
