Transparency Authority signs MoU with anti-corruption academy

The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for co-operation in the fields of research and training and exchange of experiences with the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA). The MoU aims to share experiences and engage with international and regional organisations and bodies in the field of integrity protection, and promote the prevention and control of corruption with a particular focus on transparency and integrity.HE the Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority Hamad bin Nasser al-Misned said that the signing of the MoU with IACA comes as part of the exchange of experiences and best practices on ways to enhance transparency and integrity, and the beginning of a fruitful and continuous relationship in various fields of common interest, not only at the bilateral level, but also at the regional and international levels.He pointed out that Qatar joined the IACA agreement on December 3 this year, noting that the IACA has observer status with the UN Economic and Social Council and is the first international educational and training centre for learners and professionals, specialising in the field of integrity and anti-corruption, and has many activities and offers many practical certifications in this field.The Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority stressed that upholding the principles of transparency, safeguarding integrity and combating corruption and activating them on the ground is a solid approach of Qatar, expressing his pleasure and pride in the achievements of the State in the fields of promoting integrity, transparency and prevention of corruption, which allowed it to occupy a high position among the best countries in the world in the standards of transparency and integrity, as confirmed by the relevant international indicators.He added that the signing of the MoU today and the partnership with the IACA are part of promoting participation with the IACA and expanding co-operation in the fields of research and training to serve all actors in the state, not just the two parties to the memorandum.
