National Day enhances sense of solidarity, says Japan ambassador

Ambassador of Japan to Qatar Seiichi Otsuka said that the celebration of the National Day enhances the sense of solidarity among citizens in light of the ongoing unjust siege. In a statement to Qatar News Agency on the occasion of the National Day, the Japanese ambassador expressed his country’s appreciation for Qatar’s active diplomacy aimed at promoting better and closer relations with other countries. He noted that this approach in dealing with other countries paves the way for more co-operation between Qatar and foreign partners. Bilateral ties and co-operation relations between Japan and Qatar will be further strengthened and deepened, he added.He also praised the resilience and strength of the Qatari economy and its ability to overcome all the challenges and difficulties it faced despite the siege imposed on the country. The Japanese ambassador noted the country’s rapid growth towards achieving the development goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030, as well as its commitment to preserving the dignity, honour and sovereignty of its decisions, supported by a self-reliant society. At the same time, the envoy hailed the state’s development and good infrastructure preparation to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup. This is in addition to the progress made in the construction of parks and public transport.
