Qatar Solar Technologies (QS TEC) defeated Serandeep-B by 27 runs to clinch the Division-II 1st Zaffran Café Cricket Tournament 2018, organised by Qatar Veterans Cricket League at the Losail Cricket Complex. After winning the toss and batting first QS TEC batsmen scored 130 runs in 20 overs.Sameer scored 26 runs in 12 balls with the help of three sixes and one boundary. Zahir and Haleem contributed 33 and 28 runs respectively. Bandula, Indika and Tharanga took two wickets each for Serandeep-B. In reply, Serandeep-B batsmen were bundled out for 103 runs in 17.4 overs. Chanaka contributor 30 runs off 18 deliverie, while Bandulla and Milan scored 15 each. Kazi took three wickets and Zahir and Haleem claimed two each. For his all-round performance, Zahir was adjusted Man-of the-Finals. He was also declared best bowler of the tournament.Vimal of Orxy Challengers was declared best batsman, while QS TEC’s Fauzan and Sanjay received the best-allorunder and best wicket-keeper awards respectively. Business development manager of Zaffran Cafe Siddiq Fahad gave away the prizes.
