Three-hour closure between Al Gharrafa and Duhail intersections

Ashghal has announced a temporary closure between Duhail and Al Gharrafa intersections on Shamal Road in both directions from 2am to 5am tomorrow (Friday). This is being done to enable the removal of gantries to allow the ongoing construction works of Umm Lekhba Interchange (Landmark Interchange).During the diversion, designed in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, road users will be required to follow the directions given below (as shown on the map). From Al Shamal to Doha: Road users have to use the third exit at Duhail intersection leading to Al Khafji Street, then take the first right turn towards the Arab League Street; continue straight and turn right through Khalifa Street until reaching Al Gharrafa Intersection (Immigration Roundabout) where they can use the third southbound exit towards Doha.From Doha to Al Shamal: Road users have to use the first exit at Al Gharrafa Intersection (Immigration Roundabout) towards Khalifa Street, then take the left turn leading to Arab League Street; From Arab League Street turn left through Al Khafji Street and continue straight to reach Duhail intersection where they can use the first exit towards Al Shamal. All service roads in this part will be closed and road users in Al Gharrafa and Madinat Khalifa North can use the Ittihad bridge to reach their destinations. Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and request all road users to abide by the existing speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure safety.Six-hour closure on Ras Abboud Road tomorrow
Ashghal has announced a temporary closure of all lanes on Ras Abboud Road enroute from Wakrah and G-Ring Road to Doha from 2am to 8am tomorrow (Friday). Ashghal is implementing this closure in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic to complete installation of road signs on this vital route. During the closure, traffic heading towards Doha shall be diverted through F-Ring Road (as illustrated on the map). Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the changes on the road.
