The PermanentRepresentative of Qatar to the United Nations in Geneva, ambassador AliKhalfan al-Mansouri, met United Nations High Commissioner for HumanRights Michelle Bachelet in Geneva yesterday. The ambassadorcongratulated Bachelet on her appointment as the United Nations HighCommissioner for Human Rights, and discussed with her the blockadeenforced on Qatar for more than 500 days. The ambassador also stressedthe importance of doing everything possible to end the arbitrary andunilateral measures against Qatar. The two sides also reviewed tiesbetween Qatar and the UN High Commission, expressing their aspirationfor enhancing and developing them further.
