Small plane crash kills three in Germany

A light-sport aircraft fatally injured two adults and a child on Sunday when it was trying to take off from a mountain in central Germany, a police spokeswoman said. The Cessna plane had not enough lift during take-off from Wasserkuppe mountain and crashed through a barrier before hitting the group, who were standing at the edge of the airfield. It remained unclear if additional people were injured in the accident.
