Ministry stresses key role of clean-up campaign

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has said its General Cleanliness Department has been exerting efforts on a daily basis to clean all streets, public squares and key facilities across the country with a good number of specialised equipment and work teams. Yesterday, the department cleaned main streets, pavements and lanes in some areas falling under Al Daayen Municipality. During the clean-up, sand that had accumulated along roads was removed to ease traffic flow and to maintain cleanliness and beauty, the MME said in a statement. Work teams of the department also regularly clean the Doha Corniche as it is considered a key destination, attracting a large number of people.
