Helicopters for Amiri Air Force start production at Boeing's plant

Chief of Staff inaugurates Apache helicopters production line

HE the Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, Lieutenant General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem, on Saturday inaugurated the production line for the project pertaining to the manufacture of Apache helicopters for the Qatar Amiri Air Force, during a visit to Boeing's factory in Mesa, Arizona (US). He also toured the company's flight simulator facilities during the visit.

During the tour, HE Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) al-Ghanem was accompanied by Boeing Vertical Lift general manager David Koopersmith, director of the Apache project committee Brigadier General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Abdul Hadi al-Shahwani, members of the committee and a number of ranking Qatar Armed Forces officers in charge of the project, the official Qatar News Agency reported.
