Workshop on food safety in Wakrah

Al Wakrah Municipality has held a workshop on food safety at food facilities, targeting workers at eateries, restaurants and cafeterias within its jurisdiction. The workshop was opened by Nasser Saeed al-Marri, acting director of Municipal Control Department at the municipality. He affirmed that the exercise is intended to raise the awareness of the workers at food facilities as part of the focus on food safety and the health of consumers. The workshop focused on the proper practices while handling food or during storage and display. It also gave tips on the proper transportation of food products.
