Al Houara project first phase ‘to open in 2019 Q2’

Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company announced the opening of the first phase of Al Houara project in Tangier, Morocco, in the beginning of the second quarter of 2019.The infrastructure of the QR700mn project will be completed by the end of 2018.CEO of Qatari Diar Eng. Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah said that Al Houara project in the Kingdom of Morocco includes in its first phase the construction of the Hilton Luxury Hotel and a golf course.He noted that the project is a 234-hectare international beach resort located on the Atlantic coast between the cities of Tangier and Asilah in Morocco.The project, designed to international standards combines authentic Moroccan culture with European culture, and includes hotels, residential villas, a health club, an international golf course, shops and multi-service facilities.The announcement follows a visit paid by Qatari Diar officials to the Kingdom of Morocco on October 1-3 in order to identify the latest developments in the investments in Morocco and to follow-up the progress of the Al Houara project. During the visit, the officials met a number of Moroccan officials.They discussed the project strategy, the delivery dates for the first phase scheduled for the beginning of the second quarter of 2019, and the facilitation and joint co-operation between Qatari Diar and the Moroccan government.Moroccan Minister of Tourism, Air Transport, Handicraft and Social Economy Mohamed Sajid praised Qatari Diar for developing Houara project, noting that the company’s strategy in this framework stemmed from its keenness on achievement and continuous development.He highlighted the high quality of the project’s implementation, and stressed that the Moroccan government will exert every effort to co-operate with Qatari Diar to make this project a success.The meetings of the officials of Qatari Diar in Morocco were held in the presence of Qatar’s ambassador to Morocco Abdullah Falah al-Dosari.Qatari Diar Real Estate Company was established in 2005 by the Qatar Investment Authority to support Qatar’s growing economy and to co-ordinate the country’s real estate development priorities.
