Umm Salal’s al-Yahri undergoes ankle surgery at Aspetar

Umm Salal’s Abdulaziz al-Yahri underwent an operation at Qatar’s orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital Aspetar to correct an ankle injury. Abdulaziz was out of action for some time as he was nursing the injury. He is to undergo a rehabilitation programme before returning to the field.Meanwhile, Umm Salal are preparing for their QSL Cup Round 2 game against Qatar SC tomorrow. The match will kick off at the Qatar SC Stadium at 17:35. Umm Salal had beaten Al Arabi 1-0 in Round 1. Al Duhail, Al Kharaitiyat and Al Gharafa are the other teams in Group A.Al Sadd vs Al Duhail match rescheduledThe Qatar Stars League Management (QSLM) rescheduled the QNB Stars League Week 9 match between Al Sadd and Al Duhail, which was to be played on Sunday, 21st October. The rescheduling was done in view of Al Sadd’s AFC Champions League second-leg semi-final against Iran’s Persepolis at the Azadi Stadium in Tehran on 23rd October. The new date will be announced later. It may be recalled that the QSLM had considered rescheduling of this game if either Al Sadd or Al Duhail qualified for the AFC Champions League semi-finals.
