Retaj Hotels & Hospitality, part of Retaj Group, has expanded its footprint overseas by signing an agreement to operate a new luxury resort in Turkey. In a statement yesterday, Retaj Group said it has inked an agreement with Turkish real estate developer Ihome Insaat to manage Retaj Yalova Resort in the northwestern city of Yalova, near the eastern coast of the Sea of Marmara. The partnership is the result of long-standing relations between Qatar and Turkey, which have strengthened further in the face of the ongoing embargo.“It is also evidence of the strategic bilateral relations established by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which is a model to follow. This step comes among the endeavours of Retaj Hotels & Hospitality to expand its international presence as a specialised Qatari company in traditional Halal Arabic hospitality services,” the Group said. The coastal Retaj Yalova resort comprises 51 luxury apartments across three low-rise buildings, offering homeowners the opportunity to own their “own piece of paradise” in one, two, three, four and five-bedroom options. The project, which is more than 50% complete and is expected to open in March 2019, features a host of amenities designed around the well-being of residents, including a spa, gym, social areas, a children’s playground, private beach and more, the statement noted.Under the terms of the agreement with Ihome Insaat, Retaj Hotels & Hospitality will be responsible for the full management of Retaj Yalova Resort, including technical assistance until the opening date, bringing its “service excellence and hospitality management to the new resort”. The signing of the agreement to manage the property is in line with Retaj Group’s strategy to grow and expand its services beyond Qatar.Dr Mohamed bin Johar al-Mohamed, vice-chairman and managing director of Retaj Group, said: “This collaboration with Ihome is the perfect fit for Retaj Group and Retaj Hotels & Hospitality. Ihome is a renowned developer and Retaj is the largest Halal hotel brand. It presents an ideal opportunity for us to demonstrate our excellence to a new audience and this agreement signing is only the beginning in what we believe will be a long, successful partnership with Ihome Insaat.” Abdulrahman Shusha, general manager of Ihome Insaat, added: “Our partnership with Retaj Hotels & Hospitality, which has a reputable history in the sector of international tourism and its expertise in hospitality management, is a strong one. Our decision to join hands in this project was to develop the relations between the tourism and real estate sectors in Qatar and Turkey and take advantage of this growth to achieve the best investment revenue for both investors and countries.”Retaj Group is a 100% Qatari company that aims, through its international expansion, to contribute to the leadership role of Qatar and achieve the vision to be present and invest globally.
