West Industrial Street now fully open to traffic

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the opening of the last phase of West Industrial Street, which stretches from Street 33 in the Industrial Area to G-Ring Road. The opening is part of Ashghal’s efforts to develop roads and infrastructure within Doha Industrial Area (DIA), the authority has said in a statement

Ahmed al-Obaidly, head of the Southern Areas Projects Section at Ashghal’s Roads Projects Department, said the final phase of West Industrial Street’s development work was completed one month earlier than the planned opening date. He noted that the authority had announced in December 2017 the opening of the first phase of the street, which extends from Salwa Road to Street 33. With the completion of the last phase, West Industrial Street provides connectivity between north and south Doha, linking the north of Doha from Salwa Road to G-Ring Road that leads to Orbital Highway.Ashghaltarget="_blank"'>
